2) Community service activities
3) School related extracurricular activities
4) Career objectives and goals
5) Letters of recommendation
6) And finally, an essay on the ideals of Citizenship and what it means to be an American
This year’s recipient has an excellent academic record with a combined GPA of 3.98 and a student rank of 11 out of 59. The recipient has participated in numerous extracurricular activities including the National Honor Society, Family Career and Community Leaders of America, Key Club, Yearbook Committee, Art Club, Science Club, Library Club and Students against Destructive Decisions. She also participated on the volleyball and basketball teams.
The recipient has also served the community by volunteering at West Side Christian Church in the youth and high school ministry programs. The recipient plans to study Exercise Science with an emphasis in Physical Therapy at Indiana University – Purdue University in Indianapolis. With this degree, she would like to work in the field of sports physical therapy with the dream of one day opening her own physical therapy practice.
This career choice fits in with her ideals of Americanism and service to God and Country. She understands the importance of serving her country by actively participating in the local community through volunteer efforts.
